Weight Scale Stress!
Don’t give yourself weight scale stress.
The weight scale is not the only determinant of success.
Don’t let the weight scale fool you! You are doing great on your diet if other factors indicate so.
A while ago, I told the story of Krystal’s upcoming photoshoot.
If you didn’t read that, shame on you (just kidding). But let me summarize it for you:
Krystal and her husband took a picture before they both tried HCG injections for weight loss. Well, they’ve lost a combined 150 lbs between them since then. So to say they look better is the understatement of the century.
They look phenomenal.
And I’m flying them out to retake the same picture in the same spot. Minus 150 lbs.
At the end of that email, I asked anyone who’s been inspired by either Krystal or Jazmin to write in with their story.
We got some great, sweet, encouraging messages. Thank you for that. I want to share a really important one from Courtney with you today:
I ended my first round disappointed in myself for not reaching the number that I wanted, I tried hard! It wasn’t until I forced myself to take another picture to compare myself to the “before picture” that I realized I did good!
The moment I saw the pictures side by side, all of Krystal’s words about food guilt and the numbers on the scales not meaning anything made sense to me. If I never lose another pound on this diet, learning to trust in healthy eating and forgetting that number on the scale will be good enough for me!
What a great reminder this is.
Folks: the scale does NOT matter!
Courtney thought she’d failed with HCG shots… when she succeeded with flying colors! This is the power of your mind. This is why I’m always reminding you: there is no perfect time to lose.
No matter what, your mind will think of all kinds of excuses to make you feel bad. I don’t know why our minds do this to us. But they do. And we have to deal with it.
The best way to deal with it is to remember that the scale is just a number. That’s it. Although seeing that number shrink is a great feeling, don’t forget: that’s probably not why you’re doing the plan.
I bet you’re doing the plan for the other benefits, like:
*Energy that lasts all day long.
*Dramatically improved health so you can live a great life for longer.
*Melting inches that make you actually look better.
*Compliments and the ability to inspire others based on your improvements.
*New eating habits that make it easy to stay fit for long-term.
And so much more.
Look: do the plan, and you’ll get the results you want and need.
It may not read the perfect number on the scale. Everyone is different. But you will get all the benefits where it really matters. That’s why I always say no one fails on HCG and/or Lipotropic injections.
